The Cedar Rapids, Iowa- based truckload carrier also pledged a portion of the revenue the pink trailer generates to be donated to a local cancer charity. ACQUISITIONS Buffalo Lake, Minn.-based KOTTKE TRUCKING INC., a 175- truck refrigerated and dry van hauler, purchased WALBON & CO. INC.'S over-the-road operations, including its routes, trucks, trailers and a terminal in Wildwood, Fla. INSTICO EXPRESS, a Grapevine, Texas-based truckload company, acquired MORRISON ROAD TRANSPORTATION to expand its presence in Alabama, Kentucky and Tennessee. InstiCo now operates 42 trac- tors and 62 dry van and 11 refrigerated trailers. RECRUITING CRST INTERNATIONAL was approved for the Veteran Apprenticeship Program through the U.S. Department of Labor and the Veterans Administration. New and current drivers for the Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based fleet using GI Bill benefits are eligible to earn up to an additional $13,400 tax-free from gov- ernment funding during the 12-month program. CRST said the program complements its existing Heroes on the Highway program for veter- ans joining the transportation industry.
