GROWTH BRANDS at WSWA T he Beverage Information Group, Beverage Dynamics' parent company, held a reception at the recent 69th Annual WSWA Convention in Las Vegas to recognize the 2012 Growth Brand Award winners in the wine and spirits categories. This year's reception was the second time the Growth Brand Awards were pre- sented in conjunction with the WSWA event. Dozens of representatives from the industry's iconic brands attended and accepted awards. "We'd like to congratulate all the Growth Brand Award winners," said Beverage Information Group executive vice president Charles Forman. "We wish them contin- ued success and look forward to seeing many of them next year." Growth Brand Award winners were recognized in four categories: Rising Stars, Fast Track, Established Growth and the Comeback awards tier. The categories are designed to organize the wine and spirit brands demonstrating notable growth in a meaningful, quantifiable way to help retailers, restaurateurs and the industry at large discern existing and emerging trends. The Beverage Information Group used the venue of the recent WSWA Convention to honor those suppliers whose wine and spirits brands won Growth Brand Awards. Eric Barlund, regional vice president; Shayne Brown, market manager; Jeff Hodson, regional vice president; Tito Beveridge, owner and founder; Pete Angus executive vice president; and Rich Nestro regional vice president, all from Tito's Handmade Vodka, attended the ceremony. Jeff Johnson, vice president, sales and operations; Malcolm Lloyd CEO and co- founder; and Devin Wilson vice president of marketing, of Old Nassau Imports, collected an award. Timo Sutinen, vice president of marketing and business develop- ment, at Imperial Brands, received an award.
