Next Gen Groundwater Professionals Meet-Up Tuesday, December 6 4–5:15 p.m. 213 Students and young professionals are invited to share their experiences on get- ting started in the groundwater industry with new friends. NGWA staff will also be on hand to answer any questions on how the Association can help young people grow and get ahead in their chosen field. Affiliate Organization Peer-to-Peer Meeting Tuesday, December 6 4–5 p.m. 207/208 The annual meeting of Affiliate Organization executives and officers, this open forum is a great place to discuss issues facing your state and provides the opportunity to receive feedback from fellow association leaders on how they have managed similar situations. (Open to Affiliate State executives and officers.) McCornick, the new executive direc- tor of the Daugherty Water for Food Institute at the University of Nebraska, will draw on insights gleaned from his work in Africa and Asia, as well as the United States. His presentation will consider the different contexts of the water-for-food challenge, and ex- plore some of the potential solutions and opportunities to systematically address the challenges. Particular emphasis will be given to agricultural water manage- ment solutions, in terms of technologies, practices and policies, and to the oppor- tunities to address the sustainability of critical groundwater resources. The session welcomes all Groundwater Week attendees and Irrigation Show attendees. United Rentals is the sponsor of the Keynote Session.
