Danfoss has appointed Santiago Martin as head of Danfoss Drives–Americas. In this role, he will be responsi- ble for leading Danfoss' drives business in the United States, Canada, and Latin America. He also will serve as part of the company's management team in North America. Previously, Martin was vice president at Danfoss Drives in Latin America, where he was responsible for sales, marketing, and service. He joined Danfoss as part of the company's merger with Vacon, where he spent seven years—first as managing di- rector in Spain and Portugal, and later as vice president of Vacon Latin America. After 72 years of provid- ing pump and well services to Lake Wales, Florida, and surrounding areas, family- owned Crosby Well Drilling Inc. announced their relation- ship with NUCO Pump & Well Services LLC. Crosby Well Drilling was founded in 1944 by the Crosby family and most recently operated by National Ground Water Asso- ciation Past President Griffin Crosby Jr., CWD/PI. Crosby is a second-generation water well driller and decided to align Crosby Well Drilling with NUCO to provide con- tinued best-in-class pump and well services in central Florida. NUCO Pump and Well Services will continue to maintain the existing cus- tomer base from Crosby Well Drilling. Crosby will also provide ongoing consulting services to NUCO for a seamless transition. Danfoss also announced its partnership with Johnson Barrow, which will serve as its newest sales representa- tive organization for Dan- foss' line of AB-QM pressure independent control valves in Oregon and Washington. With offices in Portland and Seattle, Johnson Barrow has been serving the Pacific Northwest for more than 50 years. Nidec Corp.'s Board of Di- rectors approved a resolution to acquire the motors, drives, and electric power generation businesses of Emerson Elec- tric Co. ResinTech Inc. announced plans to relocate its corporate headquarters and build two new manufacturing plants in Camden, New Jersey. The move will allow the water treatment and filtration com- pany to bring a minimum of 265 jobs to Camden. The company will be adding 55 employees to staff the new manufacturing facility and, in addition, will bring hundreds of existing jobs from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Mary- land, and California. The Virginia Water Well Association held their annual Fall Field Day on October 14 in Christiansburg, Virginia. Rorrer Well Drilling Inc. hosted the event at its new location which provided ample space for the 13 ex- hibiting tailgating manufac- turers and distributors as well as some machinery from Caterpillar and more than 130 contractor attendees. Par- ticipation for the day came from Virginia, West Virginia, and Tennessee. Upon hearing the event would showcase a cable tool drilling demonstra- tion on a refurbished rig, owned by R.A. Simmons Well Drilling, retired well contrac- tors made their way to the site to join in the conversa- tion and hear relaxing rever- beration of the drill as it pounded into the depths of rock. Wayne Fenton of Fenton Well Drilling also guided the attendees through the bailing process and explained the different tools necessary to complete well construction and the tool forging process. Grundfos held its fifth an- nual Walk for Water charita- ble benefit in Kansas City, Missouri, and Aurora, Illi- nois, raising more than $35,000 for global water crisis relief. Roughly 230 Grundfos employees and local participants joined the two events, designed to build awareness about the global water crisis and raise funds for safe, sustainable water solutions in developing countries.
