AGGREGATES MANAGER / December 2016 19 control and greater insight over many of the loader functions and activities. This includes changing displays for day and night operation; information on operating parameters such as fuel levels, temperatures and pressure readings; trip information; an optional integrated rearview camera; and fi ngertip selection of operating modes and features such as Auto Idle and Auto Shutdown. The cab was also engineered to bring a new level of comfort and ergonomics to the operator. This includes three seat options, including a premium heated air-ride seat, and seat positioning, control adjustability, and leg room that provides ideal comfort adjustability for operators of all sizes. Greater visibility to all sides of the machine is achieved with a one-piece rounded windshield, a rear grid defroster, and redesigned external mirrors placed to prevent operator fatigue. These loaders also feature a new HVAC system that Case says achieves the fastest cab cool-down of any loader in the industry, and excellent heating/defrosting/defogging capabilities. The operator environment is further accentuated with new automotive-style plastics on the inside that are more durable and resistant to scratches, and easier to clean. A new Bluetooth radio with full streaming, satellite radio (with optional equipment), and music device compatibility is also available to enhance the operator experience. Approach to market "Application-based options allow the operators to adjust and cus- tomize their machine to maximize production," Dargatz says. "In- dependent systems — electronics, hydraulics, engines, transmis- sions — work together to maximize the effi ciencies and uptime. Ergonomics maximize quality of operation and combat operator fatigue. ProCare allows owners and operators to understand and plan for total operating costs for three years." These 'practical innovations' address Case's fi ve pillars of total cost of ownership and comprise its bet on the G series. AM G Series wheel loaders are powered by FPT engines that feature SCR technology to meet Tier 4 Final standards. The 921G features Case's mid-mounted cooling module thata en- sures access to clean and cool ambient air. The pillars of TCO "It's important to understand that Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is much more than just talking about acquisition costs and maintenance," says Andrew Dargatz, Case CE brand marketing manager for wheel loaders. "It starts with an understand- ing that wheel loaders are the ultimate production machines," He says the G-Series wheel loaders are designed to address fi ve pillars of TCO: • Productivity — determining how much materi- al is moved in a given amount of time; • Effi ciency — maintaining production levels with lower operating costs and less fuel burn; • Reliability — achieving greater uptime and tire utilization; • Overall quality of operation — leveraging ergonomics for greater operator comfort, combating fatigue, and providing intuitive operation; and • Maintenance — maintaining equipment easily and effi ciently. Case stuck its fl ag in the ground on TCO when it in- troduced ProCare three years ago. ProCare is a suite of product assurances that includes a three-year Advanced Case SiteWatch telematics subscription, a three-year/3,000-hour full-machine factory warran- ty, and a three-year/3,000-hour planned mainte- nance contract. "ProCare embodies our commitment to Total Cost of Ownership," Dargatz says.
