"We're going to plan something and get it out hopefully right at the beginning of the year before Riding Academy starts, so we can get some of those who don't know how to ride enrolled and go from there," he added. Black Wolf also serves as a popular stop for the annual Run For The Wall ride to honor those in the military who have fallen in the line of duty. "They always come by here and they tell us that we are one of their favorite stops," added Ward. "It's one of the highlights of our year. A lot of those riders are veterans, and they're honoring somebody who has fallen alongside them, and it's a good time whenever they are here." The dealership has made efforts to expand its event offerings and offer more events dur- ing normal business hours. Black Wolf has partnered with local businesses, including the Quaker Steak & Lube restaurant, to host weekly bike nights in Bristol. These bike nights run Thursdays from May until the end of October. Black Wolf hosts a block party the first Thursday of every month, with the city allowing the dealership to take over one of the streets in downtown Bristol for a night of fun and camaraderie. The block parties have drawn as many as 500 bikes at a time. "We try to give each and every customer the ultimate Harley-Davidson experience. We will go out of our way for every customer, not just our regulars," said Pendergrass. "We truly want each person that graces our doors to feel like they are part of the Wolf Pack family, and we treat them as such." PSB In this industry, unlike marine and RV, you are paid above cost for warranty work from most manufacturers, and that is just parts. Many of you receive your standard labor rate that you would charge a customer. Why is warranty such a problem and a money-loser for dealerships? Dealerships tell me they do little warranty work because it is such a hassle, with no profit. That tells me they are in great need of education and training in this area. Let's get this cleaned up now and vow to do a better job in 2017. Each OEM can offer you training in warranty, and your DMS should have a way for you to track it. After you have exhausted all options and do not know where to go or what to do, there is always support. Several OEMs and DMS companies offer support to their customers by phone or online chat. Chat is becoming the way of the future. Using a chat feature is easy, fast and effective. They can help you resolve your issue without ever taking pre- cious time waiting to talk to them. I have had several issues resolved without ever talking to someone. Prepare for the storm now. Work smarter, not harder. Be informed and inform others.
