Nidec Motor Provides Constant, Variable Speed Pumping Solutions Nidec Motor Corp. offers water in- dustry customers two certified NEMA Premium efficient vertical hollow shaft product lines: new Sinewave Optimized motors for constant speed pumping, and inverter duty products for variable speed pumping. Not all pump- ing applications require a variable speed motor to maintain constant water pressure or flow. For these circumstances, Nidec offers new U.S. Motors brand Sinewave Opti- mized premium efficiency vertical high thrust motors. These motors, from 7½ hp to 600 hp, meet the new Department of Energy efficiency requirements and provide a lower cost alternative to inverter duty motors. www.nidec-motor.com Unitra's Die-Cast Aluminum Pumps Provide True Performance Unitra was the first company to ever develop the die-cast aluminum contractor pump. Unitra's die-cast aluminum pumps are American made in Texas from start to finish. Unitra's die-cast aluminum pumps provide true performance. Unitra ensures the clos- est tolerances to ensure using com- puter-controlled machining to within less than 2000th of an inch. This is what provides a leading edge for Uni- tra's pumps. Every pump Unitra makes in its factory is hydraulically tested to ensure value for the customer. Unitra's die-cast aluminum pumps offer a wide variety of engine choices that offer service centers located in your area so you can choose an engine that you like the best. www.unitrainc.com Featured PRODUCTS Solinst Offers Multilevel Groundwater Monitoring System The Solinst CMT Multilevel System monitors multiple depth-discrete zones within a single borehole. The system is available with either three or seven chan- nels, with monitoring ports easily constructed at different depths in each channel. The 3-channel CMT is 1.1 inches in diameter and ideal for direct push installations. The 7-channel sys- tem is 1.7 inches in diameter. Both CMT systems are easy to in- stall, design flexibility allows port lo- cations, and monitoring strategy to be finalized right on site. Depth-discrete groundwater data provides assessors with a better understanding of the three-dimensional flow and distribu- tion of contaminants in the subsurface. www.solinst.com Twitter @WaterWellJournl WWJ January 2017 49 Siemens Adds Class 82 Slim Line NEMA Pump Panel Siemens announces the newest ad- dition to its extensive line of pump panels, the Class 82 Slim Line NEMA pump panel. The new pump panel is designed specifically for the agricul- tural market as it is well suited for irri- gation or similar pumping applications and is built to withstand the harsh elements of the outdoors. The new pump panel has a compact lightweight design that makes this an attractive alternative to the standard Class 87 pump panel. The smaller design also eases installa- tion. The pump panel is almost half the size and weight of the Class 87 panels. www.usa.siemens.com/controls
