KAWASAKI OPENS UTV GOVERNMENT AND FLEET SALES SECTION ON WEBSITE In an effort to help facilitate government and fleet sales and to add awareness to its internal sales programs, a government and fleet sales section has gone live on Kawasaki.com. Kawasaki is known for its "Kawasaki Strong" lineup of side-by-side utility vehicles and Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A., (KMC) recently made it easier for government and fleet purchasers to see our full lineup and work with the KMC's dealer network of inde- pendent retailers to acquire them. "This new section of our website makes it easy for decision makers to connect with Kawasaki to better understand the strength and durability of our side by side utility vehi- cle lineup," said Michael Jabobs, KMC man- ager, Government and Fleet Sales. "We are well versed in the government bid procure- ment process as well as the special require- ments of sales to fleet customers. We have the staff to help facilitate these sales through KMC's dealer network of nearly 1,100 inde- pendent retailers." Kawasaki is celebrating its 50th anni- versary in the U.S. and has been assembling product with domestic and imported parts in Lincoln, Nebraska, since 1975. In 1987 Kawasaki produced its first MULE side-by- side utility vehicle and began its reputation as a durable workhorse for the toughest jobs. Kawasaki's lineup of side-by-side utility vehi- cles has grown over the years and includes both gasoline and diesel options with seating capacity ranging from two to six passengers. TRAKMOTIVE LAUNCHES ATV/UTV CV AXLE LINE Redlands, California-based TrakMotive revealed its all-new ATV-UTV Heavy Duty CV Axle line during AIMExpo in Orlando. TrakMotive exhibited at the show for the third consecutive year. "AIMExpo brings together all aspects of the powersports industry at the same time, making it the perfect platform for us to introduce our new Heavy Duty CV Axles to the media, dealers and consumers," said Jeff Gagliano, director of ATV-UTV Sales. "We have always received great feedback on our products at the show." GBC OFFERS $45K IN BITD CONTINGENCY GBC Motorsports will be offering its GBC Bucks contingency program for the 2017 Best in the Desert Series. The GBC Bucks Awards Program rewards ATV and UTV racers that achieve success while using GBC tires. This season there will be more than $45,000 in GBC Bucks up for grabs across UTV and ATV classes. The MSRP is $349.99 U.S. FIRST SIDE-BY-SIDE RACERS JOIN YAMAHA WALL OF CHAMPIONS Yamaha inducted nine of its ATV, side-by- side, Supercross/Motocross and Road Rac- ing titleholders to its Wall of Champions in a Dec. 15 ceremony held at the Cypress, California, office. On top of the 11 champi- onships acknowledged, the event-filled day included the presentation of a check to Feed the Children, a fond farewell to retiring Yamaha vice president of Motorcycle Opera- tions Dennis McNeal and recognition of Yamaha Racing team manager Tom Halver- son's 30 years of service. Those who competed on four wheels that were honored included 2016 AMA Pro ATV Motocross champion Chad Wienen and 2016 GNCC XC1 ATV champion Walker Fowler. For the first time ever, two profes- sional off-road side-by-side racers were inducted for championships they each won in the YXZ1000R's debut racing year. Corry Weller received a Wall of Champions plaque for her TORC Series Pro Stock UTV cham- pionship, and adding to his list of Yamaha championships, Dustin Nelson was inducted for his two Lucas Oil Regional Off-Road Series championships in both the Southern California and Arizona regions. Motorcycle racers included 2016 MotoAmerica Superbike champion Cam- eron Beaubier, 2016 MotoAmerica Super- sport champion Garrett Gerloff, 2016 MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 champion Josh Herrin, MotoAmerica Superstock 600 champion Bryce Prince, and Cooper Webb for winning both the 2016 AMA 250cc Supercross West championship and the AMA 250cc Motocross championship. SPORTECH, FXR, CARLSON MOTO TEAM UP FOR VETERANS Powersports companies Sportech, FXR and Carlson Moto joined together with Deerboy, Premier Ranch and Chick-fil-A of Blooming- ton, Minnesota, to treat five military veterans to a hunting trip in Mason, Texas. The veterans included Navy SEALs and soldiers who served in Operation Enduring Freedom. The group took an RV from Carl- son Moto's Elk River, Minnesota, headquar- ters to Premier Ranch in Mason, Texas, where they hunted deer and turkey. The event, dubbed "We Stand," was cre- ated to show the companies' support of the U.S. Armed Forces and law enforcement. BRP'S MEXICAN MANUFACTURING PLANTS HONORED BRP's three manufacturing facilities in Mex- ico received a "Family Responsible Company" award from Mexico's Ministry of Labor and Social Security (STPS). This distinction is granted to companies in Mexico that apply and promote labor policies that contribute to the development of workers in an integral way, both at work and within their family environment. At the Dec. 5 ceremony the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mexico City, Social Wel- fare assistant secretary Ignacio Rubí Salazar delivered the award and stressed the momen- tum to reconcile work and family, as well as favoring equal opportunities and combating workplace violence and sexual harassment. The "Family Responsible Company" dis- tinction is a mechanism that seeks to create awareness among the population about the importance of advancing in the construction of a more egalitarian and just society, in which all Mexicans have the same opportunities. During the event, the director of the Office for Mexico and Cuba of the International Labor Organization (ILO) Thomas Wissing Pfeiffer emphasized the commitment of the winners regarding family responsibility and gender equality in the workplace. In this way, BRP continues to position itself as one of the best centers of work in Mexico, offering services and opportunities that make a difference in matters of gender equality, prevention and combat of labor violence and sexual harassment, as well as promoting actions and policies to encour- age workers to take care of their family responsibilities. ARCTIC CAT RENEWS PARTNERSHIP WITH ALL STAR CIRCUIT OF CHAMPIONS Formally announced during the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions celebration in Indianapolis on Dec. 9, Arctic Cat, the official recreational vehicle supplier of the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions, will extend its partnership with the traveling 410ci sprint car circuit as the title sponsor through the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Arctic Cat's inaugural season as the title sponsor in 2016 proved to be a success, fueling the decision to extend its relationship with one of America's oldest trav- eling sprint car series. "We are more than pleased to extend our relationship with the All Star Circuit of Champions for the next two seasons. 2016 proved to be beneficial for Arctic Cat, and I am confident that our continued involve- ment will only elevate Arctic Cat's exposure and impact in the world of sprint car racing," explained Greg Williamson, chief marketing officer of Arctic Cat. "All Star fans are hunters, fishermen, farmers, ranchers, outdoorsmen; these are the people most attracted to our products. In routine fashion, the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions will activate the new year with a trip to Florida, headlining five events between Feb. 9 and Feb. 16 at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala and Volusia Speedway Park near Daytona. Arctic Cat will not only act as the title sponsor for the All Stars in 2017, but it will also play a major role during a select number of events throughout the season. Similar to 2016, local Arctic Cat dealers, positioned throughout the Northeast and Midwest, will set up displays at select tracks allowing fans to interact with new products, ask questions to company representatives, as well as engage in ride-alongs and participate in special sales offers that may be conducted throughout the year. Arctic Cat will also award products at the year-end championship banquet. "We are honored to have Arctic Cat with us again in 2017 and 2018.
