RevZilla announced that Anthony Bucci, a co- founder and current chief executive officer of RevZilla, is transitioning out of his position as CEO, effective Jan. 13. RevZilla co-founder and chief operating officer Matthew Kull will be interim CEO. An executive search is underway. As a founder of the company, Bucci has been part of RevZilla's leadership since 2007; he will remain on the board of Comoto Holdings, which owns RevZilla and Cycle Gear. Bucci is transitioning out of the day-to-day operations of RevZilla, but will remain a cor- nerstone of the company's media ecosystem from both sides of the camera. RevZilla's origi- nal content has educated consumers, creating a thriving digital community and becoming a go-to editorial resource within the industry since its inception in 2009. From his board role, Bucci will also continue to help propel the business by contributing to strategic digital, product and customer roadmaps. "As I looked towards RevZilla's future — which I believe has incredible potential — I rec- ognized that the best approach for continued growth and expansion is a broader executive playbook, which begins with my passing the torch," said Bucci. "I believe this is the right strategic decision for the next stage of the com- pany, but our customers and the RevZilla fam- ily should rest assured that I will continue to remain a force behind our cause. I could not be more proud of the ongoing success of RevZilla, our team and the enthusiasm of our customers, all of which have had a global impact on our industry over a very short time." RevZilla saw strong growth in 2016 and projects that growth to continue into 2017 and beyond. Contact: readytosale@yahoo.com sides and snowmobiles already carried truly makes Maddie's a year-round dealership. "The off-road ATV and side-by-side busi- ness is really strong in the spring and the fall, but early spring and summer always felt more like we were on a roller coaster," Gra- ham explained. "With all the brands, we can really offer a nice product group of sport bikes, motocross, street, V-twin — we've got the whole lineup. And for our area, there really wasn't a lot for the customers to pick from other than Harley, so we've really been able to tap into the metric customer and the Harley customer that's look- ing for alternatives," he added. To better accommodate the new lines, Mad- die's is undergoing an expansion. The dealer- ship is adding about 8,000 square feet onto its dealership, 90 percent of which will be used as showroom space. "We kind of have to shuffle what kind of product line is in season at the moment; we shuffle it in and out," Graham said. "The show- room expansion is going to help us display whole goods, parts, accessories, help promote the service business a lot more and really become a more well-rounded business." After a long permitting and planning phase, Graham is glad construction of the expansion has now begun. The new showroom space is expected to be ready in late March or early April. Other plans for 2017 include increasing the dealership's pre-owned business and grow- ing the number of technicians on staff from three to up to five during the peak season, as service business has grown recently. While those improvements will make the dealership bigger, they're aimed at better serv- ing customers. "We really try and key in on that small town, family atmosphere, and we get a lot of feedback from our customers that may be traveling 45 minutes to an hour from Rochester metro or even south of Buffalo; the markets are a little bit larger, but people like coming down and spending time with us," Graham said. "We just try and teat people fair and be as friendly as we can, and we seem to get a big following." PSB MADDIE'S CONTINUED FROM PAGE 38 OEM to focus on Indian, Slingshot motorcycle businesses Polaris Industries Inc. (NYSE:PII) on Jan. 9 announced it will immediately begin wind- ing down its Victory Motorcycles brand and related operations. Polaris will assist deal- ers in liquidating existing inventories while continuing to supply parts for a period of 10 years, along with providing service and warranty coverage to Victory dealers and own- ers. The announcement does not affect any other Polaris business units. "This was an incredibly difficult decision for me, my team and the Polaris Board of Direc- tors," said Polaris Industries chairman and CEO Scott Wine. "Over the past 18 years, we have invested not only resources, but our hearts and souls, into forging the Victory Motorcycles brand, and we are exceptionally proud of what our team has accomplished. Since inception, our teams have designed and produced nearly 60 Victory models that have been honored with 25 of the industry's top awards. The experience, knowledge, infrastruc- ture and capability we've built in those 18 years gave us the confidence to acquire and develop the Indian Motorcycle brand, so I would like to express my gratitude to everyone associated with Victory Motorcycles and celebrate your many contributions." Several factors influenced the announce- ment. Victory has struggled to establish the market share needed to succeed and be profit- able. The competitive pressures of a challeng- ing motorcycle market have increased the headwinds for the brand. Given the significant additional investments required for Victory to launch new global platforms that meet chang- ing consumer preferences, and considering the strong performance and growth potential of Indian Motorcycle, the decision to more nar- rowly focus Polaris' energy and investments became quite clear. "This decision will improve the profitability of Polaris and our global motorcycle business, and will materially improve our competitive stance in the industry," said Wine. "Our focus is on profitable growth, and in an environ- ment of finite resources, this move allows us to optimize and align our resources behind both our premium, high performing Indian Motorcycle brand and our innovative Slingshot brand, enhancing our focus on accelerating the success of those brands. Ultimately this deci- sion will propel the industry-leading product innovation that is core to our strategy while fos- tering long-term growth and increased share- holder value." Polaris will reduce the appropriate oper- ating cost based on this decision, while con- tinuing to support the future growth of the ongoing motorcycle business. Polaris remains committed to maintaining its pres- ence in the Spirit Lake, Iowa, community with Indian Motorcycle production and in the Huntsville, Alabama, community with its Slingshot production. Any one-time costs associated with support- ing Victory dealers in selling their remaining inventory; the disposal of factory inventory, tooling and other physical assets; and the can- cellation of various supplier arrangements will be recorded in the 2017 income statement in respective sales, gross profit and operation expense. These costs will be excluded from Polaris' provided 2017 sales and earnings guid- ance on a non-GAAP basis. PSB Polaris shuttering Victory brand Polaris announced on Jan. 9 that it is exiting the Victory Motorcycles business, 18 years after launching the brand. Anthony Bucci steps down as CEO of RevZilla
