Each of the charging channels operates in isolation, allowing any combina- tion or type of 12-volt lead acid battery to be charged, including VRLA, AGM, gel and flooded cell. The independent charging channels profile the condition of each battery and then automatically cycle through a charge/recovery process that ap- plies the correct charge, variable up to 6A, and optimized high frequency pulse to each battery. Five LED indicators next to each cable connection show the status of each battery during the recovery and recharge cycle. When servicing multiple batteries, these chargers provide the needed flexibility. The SC-2 accommodates up to two bat- teries at a time, the SC-6 up to six and the SC-12 up to 12 at a time. There's no need to move the batteries, as these recovery chargers are portable and can be taken to wherever batteries are stored. SC-2 and SC-6 are packaged in sturdy cases with carry handles and SC-12 case has a telescoping handle and wheels. Each unit comes with as many sets of 8' battery cables as channels, and cables fit conveniently in the cases. Simply hook up the battery or batteries needing recovery and charge, flip a switch and walk away. There is no possibility of ever over-charging, minimizing time spent monitoring batteries. It also works with larger 12-volt batteries includ- ing those in groups 31, 4-D and 8-D. The XCR-20 is housed in a self-enclosed, water-resistant heavy-duty case for easy storage and portability, allowing batteries to be charged while still installed or after they have been removed from the vehicle or equipment. The high output capacity XCR-20 uses Pulse Technology to recover larger heavily dis- charged and sulfated batteries that need to be recovered and quickly put back into service.
