Every item is carefully chosen for universal applications. Use the lint-free 5.75" x 5.75" wipes with 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean fibers after stripping and before cleaver insertion. Use Kevlar cutters with soft handle grips and fine serrated blades to cut and trim Kevlar strength members in the fiber cable. Fiber optic strippers with cushion-grip handles remove 250 µm buffer coating without scratching or nicking the 125 µm optical fiber. View multimode connectors with the 200X fiber inspec- tion microscope. Coaxial and oblique illumination provide an excellent view of ferrule cleanliness and overall core condition. A turnbuckle strap and twist latch secure the top pallet. The roto-rugged robust case is made of high-density polyethylene shell with vertical ribbing. It features beefed-up construction, black painted aluminum frame, extra- large corners, full piano hinge, steel spring-loaded handles, quarter-turn latches two mechanical lid stays and a combination lock. The standard 25-pound SPC35R measures 17.75" x 14.5" x 6" (inside dimen- sions). At 26 pounds, the deep SPC35RD adds three inches and measures 17.75" x 14.5" x 9" (I.D.). SPC28 Basic Fiber Optic Tool Kit The SPC28 series contains the basic tools and supplies to prepare and connect standard ST, SC and FC fiber optic connectors. The kit includes several strippers and cutters as well as a pair of Kevlar cutters with soft handle grips and fine serrated blades to cut and trim Kevlar strength members in the fiber cable. All common fiber stripping functions can be completed with the three-hole strip- per. The Megapro multi-bit screwdriver includes slot, Philllips, square and Torx bits. Furcation tubing provides durable protection when breaking out cables and fiber sleeves offer protection when splicing. Fiber wipes and 2.5-mm swabs are provided to address fiber cleaning needs, including a D'Gel solvent wipe that re- places isopropyl alcohol, eliminating residue.
