HIRES COO Propane marketer Paraco Gas Corp. announced the appointment of Dave Muscato, who started o u t i n h i s f a m i l y 's heating oil business, as its first chief oper- ating officer. Mu s c a to w i l l b e responsible for sales, m a r ke t i n g , hu m a n resources and opera- tions, working with Paraco CEO Joseph Armentano and the management team to set forth strategy, the company said in a statement. His responsibilities will include preparing for and driving growth for the company in all market segments. With over 30 years of experience, Muscato brings a strategic perspective to the Paraco Gas executive team stem- ming from his breadth of knowledge of all aspects of running large organizations, the company said. "Dave has a proven track record of success and has demonstrated his ability to consistently deliver results," Armentano said. "He is extremely quali- fied and fits perfectly within the culture of our organization. I have all the con- fidence in the world in Dave's ability to bring our company to the next level through a very aggressive growth plan which will focus on our employees and the customer experience." Muscato is originally from Boston, Mass., where he grew up helping his father and brothers run a small heating oil busi- ness. He has previous experience working at companies such as Pepsi Cola and Nestlé Waters, where he was the executive vice president and general manager of the home and office water route business. Most recently, Muscato worked for Schwan Food Company, a $1 billion frozen food delivery business, as president of its Home Services division, the company said. "I am extremely excited to join the Paraco family and share in its commit- ment to excellence, integrity and safety, and will work hard to continue the long history of serving Paraco customers, employees and the communities where we operate," Muscato said. Muscato resides in Weston, Conn., and will be based at Paraco's corporate head- quarters in Rye Brook, N.Y. Paraco Gas Corp. was established by Pat Armentano in 1968. The family-owned company provides propane gas services to residential, commercial and wholesale markets from locations throughout the United States.
