We have to educate the public and customers about the environmental and social benefi ts that lawns and landscapes provide to our families and our communities, and we have to turn them into advocates for our industry. NALP has produced several videos, fact sheets and tools that provide facts, clear up myths, and make the environmental case for managed landscapes. They can be found on LoveYourLandscape.org or on NALP's website under the "Benefi ts of Landscapes." You are encouraged to print and share these fact sheets with your customers, with the public, and with your local legislators. When you share the value of lawns and managed landscapes with your customers and the public, you lay the groundwork for all our government-relations work. When lawmakers are knowledgeable about the benefi ts our industry provides, it is easier to fi ght negative legislation and regulations.
