Dayton Parts, ProSteering Reach Distribution Agreement Dayton Parts has signed a master distribution agreement with ProSteering Systems, Inc., to sell ProSteering's all-makes remanu- factured power steering gears for medium- and heavy-duty truck applications in the United States. "We are pleased to expand our steering offering to include the ProSteering product and are confi dent it is an excellent comple- ment to our already-established portfolio," says Dan Young, prod- uct manager, Steering & Trailer Product at Dayton Parts. Each ProSteering product is remanufactured, not rebuilt, and adheres to a strict remanufacturing process, including a comprehensive core inspection, complete disassembly, wear/ damage analysis, complete component replacement, and a robust black powdering coating to protect the unit from corrosion, Dayton says. Purkeys Names Newest Distributors Purkeys has announced additions to its national dis- tributor network. The new distributors are: Advanced Battery Sys- tems; American Body Company; Craftsmen Trailer; Fontaine Parts Source; Summit Truck Group. These relationships allow existing and new custom- ers immediate access to Purkeys products, reducing lead times, the company says. "We look forward to the new opportunities that these partnerships will develop into in 2017. We remain focused on ensuring that we add value to all customers and are already seeing the mutual benefi ts, it is very exciting," says Travis Atkinson, Purkeys' director of sales and service.
