Keyes Fibre earns SQF certifications
K
eyes Fibre has become the first molded fiber company to receive
Safe Quality Food Institute certification.
The Wenatchee, Washington-based subsidiary of Keyes Packaging
Group received certification in March. The process involves hazard
analysis, risk assessment and proactive prevention strategies.
The certification process allowed Keyes to enhance its final prod-
uct traceability, raw material tracking and other systematic process
improvements.

BioSafe Systems introduces bactericide
B
ioSafe Solutions has introduced PerCarb, an alternative to potas-
sium bicarbonate and lime sulfur products for use in agriculture.
PerCarb (sodium carbonate peroxyhydrate) is an EPA-registered,
zero-hour REI, broad spectrum bactericide/fungicide to treat and
control pathogens that cause major foliar diseases on fruit and veg-
etable crops.
PerCarb is designed for foliar application with no phytotoxicity, as
well as pre- and postseason dormant applications controlling downy
mildew, powdery mildew, botrytis rot and bacterial leaf spot, among
others.
For more information, call BioSafe at 888-273-3088 or visit www.
biosafesystems.com/percarb.
