TIRE TIPS Your customers look to you for expert advice on the proper selection, use and service of their tires. Provide them with the necessary details, and you'll create loyal customers and repeat business. Important Tire Tips for Your Customers Help your customers get the most out of their new MICHELIN ® tires by sharing these important tips and facts with them: • Deeper tread tires on the rear axle provide better handling, wet grip and water evacuation, thereby helping avoid oversteer and loss of vehicle stability on wet surfaces. Deeper tread tires on the front axle can improve wet straight-line braking and stopping distance. If only two tires are being replaced, Michelin generally recommends installing them on the rear axle, in the absence of a tire service professional's recommendation or consumers' preference to the contrary. • Find more tire tips at www.MichelinMan.com. • Proper tire inflation is important. • Check air pressure and treadwear at least monthly and always before long trips. • Never exceed the load limits of the vehicle – doing so can lead to excessive heat and wear that could result in tire failure. • Always be aware of road hazards, and always have tires inspected if you roll over an object. Even if the tires appear undamaged, internal damage is still possible. • Be sure wheels are balanced. Recommend proper alignment and stress the importance of correct tire rotation at the proper intervals. Tire Tips 116
