Open to all show visitors is the fi fth and fi nal stop of the 2012 Pride & Polish National Championship (Halls C, D and E) series, in which a fi eld of the country's top working and show trucks will compete to be crowned as the nation's top rig. On display are the 16 Best of Show winners from the previous four Pride & Polish events – dating back to the Charlotte Diesel Super Show in October 2011 – and dozens of other custom-built and one-of-a- kind trucks looking to qualify for the championship judging round. Competitors spend weeks pre- paring the rigs, ending with an all- night cleaning and polishing on the show fl oor. The awards ceremony will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Mobil Delvac tent. Paul Voigt's 1999 Peterbilt 379 and matching Great Dane reefer won both Best of Show and National Championship honors in the Limited-Mileage, Combo category at the 2011 Great American Trucking Show.
