50 Great American Trucking Show 2012 PDI offers pink Pete in charity raffl e Performance Diesel Inc., the St. George, Utah-based engine performance shop, has its Support the Cause, pink 2001 Peterbilt 379 on display next to its booth in the Pride & Polish area. At the booth (#16039), it's selling raffl e tickets for the truck's giveaway, which is slated for Nov. 3. Ticket prices are: $10 for one ticket, $25 for three tickets, $50 for seven tick- ets and $100 for 16 tickets. All proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and PDI's Shawn Barney says he hopes the truck's raffl e will raise about $80,000. PDI teamed up with other aftermarket shops and some OEs to transform the truck into what it is today. PDI did the engine performance work, equipping the Cummins ISX with its Big Boss kit. Jones Performance donated the hood, and Lincoln Chrome gave the truck straight pipes and new stacks. 4 State Trucks off ered up the pink Get up close and personal with Caterpillar CT660 fl oor, and 12ga. Customs added the steps, an air ride kit and the visor. Also at the PDI booth, Barney and his crew are showing their performance products, namely, its turbo, manifolds and tuning kits. The truck was designed from the ground-up to per- form on the road and on the jobsite. Each truck is custom-built according to customer spec's. It was unveiled in early 2011. Wreaths Across America, TCA join to honor vets Wreaths Across America, a nonprofit organization that executes a yearly wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery and nearly 800 veteran burial locations across the country and overseas, has joined forces with the Truckload Carriers As- sociation to make the wreath-carrying operation more efficient and effective. TCA will dispatch drivers and coordinate logistics, starting this fall. The member-driven association has started a fund-raising campaign to help cover costs of placing a wreath on every grave at Arlington.
