Great American Trucking Show 2012 3 Welcome to the 2012 Great American Trucking Show! We'd like to thank you for attending the 2012 Great American Trucking Show, a part of Intersection 2012 - Destination Dallas! Your support makes Dallas the annual destination where our industry gathers. More industry segments are gathering in Dallas than ever before and we are pleased that you will see one the largest Great American Trucking Shows in our 14 year history. The events this year will provide more education, entertainment and more of the industry's leading manufactur- ers, suppliers, and service providers on display than in recent history. Here is a look at all you will experience this year: Great American Trucking Show - Visit more than 500 exhibiting companies and preview the newest trucks, trailers, prod- ucts and services off ered in our industry. Custom Rigs Pride & Polish National Championship - Winners from fi ve dif- ferent shows held around the country compete for bragging rights and you can see the National Champion crowned here on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.! Commercial Vehicle Outlook Confer- ence (CVOC) - The Heavy Duty Manufac- turers Association (HDMA) and Randall- Reilly Business Media and Information present this content-rich program designed to inform fl eets, OEM's, dealers and suppliers on the state-of-the-indus- try and all pertinent factors aff ecting trucking today and in the future. TruckSmart Summit presented by Texas Motor Transportation Association - Nearly a dozen sessions covering topics such as Managing CSA, Hours of Service, Fuel Management, and much more — the Summit covers topics that improve the quality and effi ciency of owner operators and fl eet operations. ProPickup Truck Expo (PPTE) - New for 2012, PPTE adds an element to the show fl oor that no other over-the-road trucking event has ever provided. Backed by Randall-Reilly's ProPickup magazine, PPTE is poised to deliver a new audience to GATS. GATS provides a rare opportunity to meet face-to-face with so many exhibitors, peers and other trucking industry profes- sionals … all in one place. Don't forget you can have fun while you are here in Dallas. A free concert will be held Friday evening at 5:30 and feature country music legend John Anderson and is sponsored by Mobil Delvac and the Great American Trucking Show. Show Information Desk & Offi ce: Offi ces are located in the F Lobby across from registration. The phone number is 214-853-8070. First Aid: First Aid is located inside Hall E on the south back wall. Lost & Found: Personal items will be held in the show management offi ce in the F Lobby. Name Badges: Name badges must be worn at all times to enter the show fl oor and attend seminars. This includes children older than 16. Custom Rigs' Pride & Polish Truck Beauty Show: The truck beauty contest is located in Halls D and E. The awards ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, in Booth 13031 Press Center/Conference Center: The press area is located in D221 and is open during show hours for work- ing press and photojournalists. Shuttle Buses: Our shuttle buses arrive and depart at the lower lobby entrance at regular intervals. Shuttles will deliver to the following area hotels: • Adolphus Hotel – Downtown • Aloft Dallas – Downtown • Courtyard – Market Center • Fairfi eld Inn & Suites – Market Center • Hilton Garden Inn – Market Center • Hotel Indigo – Downtown • Hyatt Regency – Downtown • Magnolia – Downtown • Omni Dallas – Downtown Truck Parking: Truckers can park in the Reunion Arena Parking Lot, a 20-acre paved area adjacent to the Dallas Convention Center.
