28 Marketplace T R U C K P A R T S & S E R V I C E | J u l y 2 0 1 7 Volvo Trucks North America has in- troduced the new model of its Volvo VNR The new VNR model, available in the VNR 300 daycab, VNR 400 fl at- roof sleeper and VNR 640 mid-roof sleeper, is ideal for urban areas, pick- up and delivery, liquid tankers, dry bulk, fl atbed and other regional haul applications. The new VNR model features a new aerodynamic design, work environment, improved engine and transmission options, gearing and loading effi ciencies, passive and active safety systems and integrated connectivity, Volvo says. "We are very pleased with the positive customer response we've seen since we launched the Volvo VNR," says Göran Nyberg, president of Volvo Trucks North America. "Our order intake, especially for the VNR 640, has exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to delivering the truck that meets all of the unique demands of the regional haul market." Off The Line Spotlighting a new OEM innovation Volvo debuts new VNR tractor Torque multiplier fastening tool Ingersoll Rand says its QX Series Cordless Torque Multiplier fastening tool is engineered to achieve up to 1,475 lb.-ft. of torque and facilitate accurate, repeatable bolting for torque-critical joints. The tool has a brushless motor paired with a Norbar gearbox and is available in fi ve different combinations of torque and speed capability ranging from 30 to 1,475 lb.-ft. and fi ve to 45 revolutions per minute. Ingersoll Rand says its QX Series fastening tool is engineered to achieve up to 1,475 lb.-ft. of torque and facilitate accurate, repeatable bolting for torque-critical joints. Steel friction pistons AFA Industries now offers forged steel friction welded one- piece pistons for Caterpillar C-15 engines in its In-Frame and Complete Overhaul Kits. AFA says the new piston's design features a stronger ring land for better ring seating and our exclusive formula Manga- nese Phosphate coating that insures less wear on break-in and additional protection against high Sulfur diesel fuel corrosion. The company adds it is important to have the exact engine se- rial number when specifying these kits as some of them are for 550HP and below engines. Flywheels, clutch install kits World American has introduced two new crops of fl ywheels to its aftermarket product line. The company says the new OEM-quality fl ywheels come with ring gear included, no core charge and a 24-month warranty. The parts fi t applications for Caterpillar, Cummins, Ford, Navistar, Mack, Volvo and Detroit engines. They are in stock and ready to ship today. World American also has released three clutch install kits: the K2468; K3600 and K3601. Starter and alternator line expands The LoadHandler Power Products all-makes starter and alternator line now offers six new products. The new medium- and heavy-duty Load- Handler alternator series now includes 140-, 150-, 160- and 200-amp coverage in several brushed and brushless designs engineered specifi cally to meet many applications. The new LoadHandler starter series uses a high- torque, high-effi ciency design to provide fast, reliable starting power and includes heavy-duty gear reduction and straight drive starters, precisely engineered for common medium- and heavy-duty applications.
