Castrol Alpha HC's outstanding anti-wear performance showed minimal wear in a field test compared to a
commercial PAO-based alternative. Ferrographic analysis also showed only trace levels of normal wear,
whereas the competitive PAO gear oil showed low to moderate levels of wear and a moderate level of dark
oxides.
