The company has not had any concerns about post- traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among veterans. "We take everyone through a medical screening, which confirms that people have the ability to do the job and do the job safely," said Griffith. "I have the same risk when I hire out of the general population." "It's like having a good relationship with a vocational school," said Griffith. "You are going to go back there because you have success." Modern Group supports active reserves by providing gap medical insurance coverage, and also by making up the difference between lower reserve pay and the employee's current salary. The company works with the Wounded Warrior Project and other groups that support vets.
