in the Ward

An old-fashioned Christmas
tree lighting in the heart of
the Historic Third Ward kicks
off Christmas in the Ward at
5:30pm Friday, Dec. 1. Fun
includes chestnuts roasting,
live reindeer, carriage rides and
Santa himself, plus a fireworks
display. Ring in the holiday
season with decorations,
shopping, and dining through-
out the neighborhood. Visit

BMO Harris Annual
Holiday Display
Through Jan. 2
In a Milwaukee holiday tradition,
BMO Harris Bank transforms
the lobby of its downtown lo-
cation into a themed display of
life-sized Steiff stuffed animals.
This year's theme, A Holiday
in King Arthur's Court, features
BMO's collection of 150 life-
sized Steiff animals, each in
their own carefully crafted rich
royal-themed costumes. The
animals will be displayed in an
elaborately designed vignette in
BMO's downtown bank lobby
where kings, queens, knights,
thrones, medieval towers, and
even the famous Round Table
will be featured. A dragon or
two might even stop by.
In keeping with the holiday
spirit and tradition, BMO Harris
will again donate $30,000 to
Feeding America in conjunction
with the Holiday Display. The
Holiday Display is free and
open to the public.
