The unit includes a 110-pound lithium-ion battery, onboard service diagnostics, automatic temperature control and a check-filter function. The company's Tundra inverter and shorepower kit, which offers shore- power and hotel load capabilities for the Nite system, includes an extension cord and a switching box that automatically detects 110-volt AC power and provides the vehicle with both AC and 12-volt DC power. The compact unit weighs 375 pounds and is powered by a 13.9-hp 2-cylinder Kubota engine that generates 6,000- watt 110-/120-volt electrical power. The climate control unit weighs 85 pounds and provides 12,000 Btu cooling and 5,000 Btu heating at low speed and 10,000 at high speed. It also has a thermostatic expansion valve, a condenser with a fin-and-tube design and a low- pressure sensor designed to shut down in the event of a refrigerant leak. The console also has large dual cup holders, two integrated storage trays, a durable molded plastic and steel construc- tion and four large adjustable multidirectional air vents. A touchscreen panel offers easy-to-use temperature control, and its auto-start functions include low truck battery voltage, cabin temperature, coolant temperature and time and day. The APU's design is independent of the truck's cooling sys- tem, and its rugged stainless-steel enclosure helps resist harsh weather and corrosion.
