Inside AED Where Economics and Politics Meet You'll Find Stuart Varney AED Summit keynoter will keep dealers on top of trends and opportunities. Stuart Varney, Host of Varney & Company on FOX News Channel Dealers need to be smarter than ever when it comes to navigating the economy. Figuring out when to ramp up or scale back requires careful analysis in addition to nerves of steel. External forces include a cyclical construction market as well as the politics of government spending, tax law and health care reform, to name a few. To help our members make good decisions, AED has employed its share of both economists and political analysts to bring their insights at AED events and in print. But business journalist Stuart Varney, host of Varney & Company on the FOX News Channel, is perhaps the only speaker equally adept in both the economic and political arenas. Educated at the London School of Economics, Varney is uniquely qualified to address economic trends and their impact on business ownership. His coverage of the stock market crash of 1987 earned him a Peabody award for excellence in Journalism. You also may have seen him appearing with Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, and Megyn Kelly, among others. Prior to joining Fox, Varney hosted CNBC's broadcast of "The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board with Stuart Varney" and was co-host of CNN's MoneyLine News Hour. Varney is known for cutting through the jargon to make complex economic issues accessible and interesting. In fact, he is credited with changing the way financial and economic news is reported worldwide. His charismatic, articulate and candid style wins rave reviews from audiences. And he doesn't shy away from politics. Whether it's Romney or Obama in office, there will undoubtedly be much for Varney to analyze and discuss in January: unemployment, tax policies, infrastructure spending, entitlements and the fiscal cliff. Much is at stake for dealers, and the AED Summit is the perfect place to get the insight you need to survive and grow in 2013. Whatever the political and economic climate, dealers can be confident Stuart Varney will keep them ahead of the trends and ready to capitalize on the opportunities.
