EquipmentWorld.com | December 2017 57 ® *than comparable gas engine driven reciprocating air compressors Additional road equipment John Deere has expanded its G-Series lineup of mo- tor graders with two new models aimed at customers who prefer lighter, more fuel-effi cient machines. The 620G and 622G are powered by a Tier 4 Final 6.8-liter Deere engine. It delivers 215 horsepower on the 620G and 225 horsepower on the 622G. Both machines are available in Grade Pro (GP) confi gurations. A new dual joystick op- tion minimizes hand motion during changes and gear shifting and ends the need to "twist" for blade circle or ar- ticulation. Other new features include ripper-stow automation, courtesy lighting and an updated high-resolution reverse camera monitor. With a double tap of the con- trol, ripper stow returns the ripper to its fully raised position at the end of a pass. The 620G weighs in at 40,350 pounds while the 622G weighs 42,060 pounds. These lower weights combined with the standard Eco power mode can reduce oper- ating costs by 5 to 10 percent, compared to Deere's larger 670G and 672G graders.
