Nature's gems are sometimes hidden in plain sight. Find Fonferek Glen County Park and you'll discover scenic hiking and trails that lead to a picturesque 30-foot waterfall with dolomite bluffs. Make sure to bring your camera to Wequiock Falls Wayside along State Highway 57. A tiny creek cascades over the rock formation known as the Niagara Escarpment. A short, rugged path will take you up close to the falls, and a small viewing platform makes the perfect background for group photos. At Wequiok, you'll also find a statue of the French explorer, Jean Nicolet who settled the area in 1634. FINDING THE FALLS
