Independent and lease- purchase contractors for the refrigerated hauler now earn 95 cents per mile plus a fuel surcharge on loaded miles. Depending on experience, solo company drivers now earn between 38 and 50 cents, and over-the-road teams earn between 48 and 53 cents. Milan, Tennessee-based MILAN SUPPLY CHAIN SOLUTIONS announced a pay increase for independent contractors, lease-purchase operators and regional over- the-road drivers. Independent owner-operators now make $1.10 per mile plus a fuel surcharge on loaded miles, and lease-purchase opera- tors earn $1.07 plus a fuel surcharge on loaded miles. Experienced company driv- ers earn 40 to 50 cents, while company teams make 49 to 52 cents. Allenton, Wisconsin- based KREILKAMP TRUCKING announced a pay increase of 5 cents per mile for over-the- road drivers. The increase brings the rate for drivers with one year of experience going to the East Coast to 55 cents. The rate for local driv- ers in Wisconsin and Illinois also increased by $1.50. The company also reinstituted its owner- and lease-operator programs. Tontitown, Arkansas- based P.A.M. TRANSPORTATION SERVICES increased its mile- age-based pay rate for con- tract and company drivers. The raise is based upon experience and route and represents as much as a 40 percent increase during the first three months. North Canton, Ohio-based bulk hauler KENAN ADVANTAGE GROUP announced a rate agreement with most of its customers to support guaranteed driver pay increases for the next three years.
