Thinner viscosities mean the engine doesnʼt have to work as hard and uses less fuel. Think of it like swimming through honey vs. water. The honor comes with a $25,000 cash prize, made possible by sponsors Cummins and Love's Travel Stops. The contest is produced by TCA and Overdrive. TCA and Overdrive sister brand Truckers News also produced the 2017 Company Driver of the Year award. To be eligible for the contest, applicants had to have one million consecutive accident-free miles and meet other standards. During his career with WEL, Keith has worked as a driver, dispatcher, terminal manager and customer service manager. He says he always was a drier rst though nondriving jobs taught him nancial management that helps him as an owner-operator. Keith will be featured in the May Overdrive and on OverdriveOnline. com. – Max Heine Keith named O-O of the Year Alleged fraud may impact 2,000 truckers Many truckers will have to renew their medical card within 30 days after the indictment of an Ala- bama-based medical examiner accused of issuing false medical credentials. Aected driers will be notied via mail by the U.S. Department of Transportation, which said March 22 it was revoking all medical cards issued by Dr. Kenneth Edwards in the past two years. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration spokesperson Duane DeBruyne said upwards of 2,000 drivers could have their cards revoked. FMCSA in February announced the arrest of Edwards, who is charged with conspiracy, wire fraud and other counts. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison and be ordered to pay nes and restitution.
