Barr-NuNN TraNsporTaTioN
announced a pay raise for
team drivers to a base rate
of 55 cents a mile, empty or
loaded, and 59 cents a mile
for hazmat loads, placarded or
not. The Granger, Iowa-based
carrier also is offering new
teams $1,250 for each driver
on their first paychecks and an
incremental 5-cent-a-mile split
for the first 120 days. After
a year at Barr-Nunn, team
drivers can get 56 cents a mile.

opens, relocates
service centers
olD DomiNioN FreighT liNe, a
less-than-truckload company,
recently opened two New
York State service centers,
relocated its facility in Baton
Rouge, La., moved to a larger
service center in Eugene, Ore.,
and expanded its facility in
Portland, Maine.
In New York, the Albany
facility employs 50 people and
has 45 percent more doors
than the previous facility, while
the Newburgh service center
has 18 doors and employs
27 people. The Baton Rouge
facility has 23 doors and 29
employees, while the Eugene
service center has 18 employees
and 42 doors, 50 percent more
than the previous location. The
Portland service center now
has 60 percent more doors and
employs 29 people.
