Show trucks gleam in fine-art book
Swiss photographer Ulysse Frech-
elin's fine-art photo book American
Trucks is the first-ever bound
release from the MB&F M.A.D.
Gallery in Geneva, which follows
Frechelin's photo exhibition there.
The photographer's clever use
of close-ups of hood ornaments,
chrome reflections and more
draw something of a surprising
portrait, not just of the trucks but
also of the culture and way of life
they represent.
The photographer's series
of images came about during a
chance road trip from Los Ange-
les to Santa Fe, N.M., following
a canceled job in L.A. that left
him in the United States with two
weeks' time to fill. You can find
more via the publishing gallery's
website, mbandf.com, where
pricing information on standard
and limited-edition versions of
the book are available.
