STATISTIC APPS FOR GOLF Z GolfShot Cost: Free This is a free golf stats app and upon downloading the app, you'll go through a simple registration process. With a very clean interface and very easy to navigate through, a great feature of the app is - when asked to put in your location, it uploads all the golf courses in your area (which are easily accessed through the GPS when locating the course you're playing on). The GolfShot app has 2 main sections. These are 'Play Golf' and 'Statistics'. Within Play Golf, you can choose a 'Nearby' facility for the course you're playing, or choose from 'My Facilities', which you may have previously played before. If you are struggling with directions or contact details, the app provides you with the location through Google maps - pretty neat! Also, when loading a new course, the app gives you the option to take a photo of the scorecard and the GolfShot mapping team will enter the course information for you. Once clicking onto your desired course you can then add playing partners or elect to just score yourself. Entering data into the app is quite • Driving Accuracy • Green in Regulation • Recovery Performance • Putting Averages • Scores by Par • Scoring On the down side, this doesn't really give you options for chipping, pitching and bunker shots. The stats relating to a short game aren't really given, so that's a little bit of a grey area with the app also. Overall, a very simple to use application and a great way of keeping your score when playing. It allows all golfers to keep some valuable stats at the same time and learn about the strengths and weaknesses of their game.
