Full of Life: Debra Seubert k I really want to start off 2013 differently, because 2012 was a rough year. Hair and makeup by: The story: Debra shares with hesitation the rollercoaster ride shes been on since 2007. The twists and turns she encountered, which included chemotherapy, radiation and surgery, were the most difficult she has ever faced. But shes adamant that others not see her as a victim. With eyes full of sparkle and a wide smile across her face, she says, Im alive! Debra admits that she sometimes forgets to do special things to celebrate her journey. I thought this makeover would be a way for me to heal my inner spirit and help me make a new start, she says. 54 BRAVA Magazine February 2013 Hair and makeup: Katy Pritzl and Meghan Zimmerman of MCV Salon & Spa lightened Debras locks and added highlights to soften the blonde and bring out more color in her skin. They reshaped the cut to add femininity but kept its length, which was important to Debra, who is growing out her hair after having lost it during treatment. Makeup Artist Rebecca Loomans kept the makeup simple to draw attention to Debras baby blues. I think the look is chic, becoming and flattering, says Debra. It really brings out my eyes. The look: The goal here was to create a comfy look that adds a touch of sparkle to match Debras radiant personality. While drawing attention to Debras defined waist, we created a curvy and flattering look by adding butterfly sleeves (or you can try scarves) along with a slightly cropped pair of bottoms. Floreada top by Desigual, $99, Kylie jean by FDJ, $99, Regina necklace by Brighton, $48, stud earrings by Brighton, $38, Liz ballet flat by Lindsay Phillips, $64; LuAnders Boutique.
