WORLD FENCE NEWS MARCH 2013 Atlantic City hosts Garden State AFA Jackpot show The trade show was open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The Jackpot show also was devoted to an important charitable cause. Superstorm Sandy spared part of the Jersey Shore from devastation. However, the beach towns to the north of Atlantic City werent so lucky, and Sandy affected many residents of New Jersey and New York as well, including some of our fellow fencers, Fielden stated. The GSAFA held a fundraising event at Jackpot 2013 to directly benefit those affected, as well as began organizing continuing efforts to help those in need both financially and physically. nc e N O L Despite some initial concern about damage to Atlantic City from Superstorm Sandy, the Garden State AFA Jackpot 2013 fence, deck and railing trade show came off without a hitch on Jan. 25-26 at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino on the Boardwalk. The Jackpot show is held every two years in Atlantic City. There were absolutely no negative issues relating to the Jackpot show due to Sandy, reported trade show chairman Terry Fielden. The hotel, casino and ballroom facilities were fine, and there were no transportation problems that seemed to hinder anyone getting there. There was not time to assemble a full report for the March edition of World Fence News, but complete coverage will be provided in the April issue. A series of valuable educational seminars were held on Friday, and the show kicked off with the traditional cocktail reception on Friday night.
