Industry NEWSMAKERS Aries Industries Inc. announces John Kudis, formerly northeast re- gional sales manager, has been promoted to the new position of national accounts manager. Kudis has 15 years of experi- ence at Aries Industries, during which he built a network of strong customer relationships across the northeastern U.S. market. His new role as national accounts manager focuses on business development with large contractors and supporting the growth of existing large contractor accounts. Central Mine Equip- ment Co. announces Michael Hubert was pro- moted to outside sales representative. Hubert has been with CME for 16 years. Most of those years were spent on the manufacturing floor building machines and serving as a lead man on various drill production lines. As a result, he has in-depth knowledge of all CME rig models. Hubert joined the CME sales team in 2016 as a field technician. During that time, Hubert performed factory service work and assisted with CME equipment upgrades in the field. In April 2019, Hubert was promoted to CME sales representative. Hubert will assist customers in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, southern Missouri, and western Tennessee. Franklin Electric in- troduced Chris Downey as territory manager for the north central region. Downey will oversee the sales and distribution of the Pioneer Pump and FPS product brands throughout the U.S. sales territory of Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota, along with the Canadian sales territory of Manitoba. Downey's pump experience began at a young age, growing up in a well drilling family. Downey is the son of National Ground Water Association Past Presi- dent Tom Downey, CWD/PI. Downey has worked in the pump industry for most of his career working as regional sales manager for American-Marsh Pumps, as well as the most recent posi- tion of sales director at Hydroflo Pumps USA Inc. Franklin Electric also introduced Shane Wright as territory manager for the southeast region. Wright will oversee the sales and distri- bution of the Pioneer Pump and FPS product brands throughout the sales territory of Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Vir- ginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. Wright began his career in the pump industry as an out- side sales representative for Jack Tyler Engineering Inc. Since then, Wright has also worked at American-Marsh Pumps, working his way up from an inside sales representative to the director of sales and marketing. Most recently, Wright served as national distribution manager for Ruhrpumpen. Little Beaver wel- comes Joseph Haynes as a product engineer at the company's man- ufacturing facility in Livingston, Texas. A fourth-generation Little Beaver team member, Haynes brings a familiarity of the fam- ily business and innovative knowledge of product design processes. Haynes most recently spent 11 years as a prod- uct engineer at WFI International, a pipe fitting manufacturer. In his previous role, Haynes designed and developed a variety of fittings for different industries including oil and gas, nuclear, and fossil fuel power plants as well as the food processing industry. Aries Industries Inc. announces the addition of two new employees. Kevin Hastings has rejoined the company as western regional sales manager, bringing 13 years of broad-based knowledge in the underground inspection industry. His background encompasses both the manufacturing and contractor side of the industry, plus certification by the National Association of Sewer Service Companies. Hastings is based in Aries Industries' office in Fresno, California. Boris Holmes has been hired as the com- pany's first-ever Rocky Mountain regional sales manager. Holmes brings more than two decades of experience in national accounts management to his role as Rocky Mountain regional sales manager. He comes to Aries In- dustries from Master's Transportation in Denver, where he guided significant growth in revenue and office openings as regional sales manager. His back- ground includes sales and management for two multi-location national engi- neering firms, plus a national provider of heavy equipment and tools. Richard Gotsch, sales representative for Central Mine Equipment Co. for more than 36 years, has retired. Gotsch worked at Layne Western, John Mathes & Associates, and Testing Inc. in the St. Louis area before coming to work at CME. The valuable field experience gained while working behind CME rigs for those companies served him well during his many years supporting CME customers. Gotsch represented CME in the Upper Midwest and parts of Canada for many years up to his recent retirement. Prior to that, he spent several years on the road showing and demonstrating CME rigs throughout the mountain states and farther west. Gotsch is responsible for introducing CME to a whole new western market in the early 1980s. He was also heavily involved with testing and demonstrating the first CME-850 track drill in 1983.
