is a Chance to Support the Urban Forest Foundation
FUN RUN, WALK,
OR WATCH ROUTE –
CLEVELAND 2019
1. Meet at Public Square outside host hotel.
2. Proceed up W. 3rd St.
3. Go clockwise around First Energy Football
Stadium. W. 3rd becomes Erieside Ave.
4. Turn left on Erieside Ave. towards
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
5. Turn right on E. 9th St. and proceed.
6. Walkers turn right on Euclid Ave.
back to Public Square (red line).
7. Runners proceed to go clockwise around
Progressive Field Baseball Stadium, turning
right on Carnegie Ave. and then Ontario St.
8. Take Ontario St. back up to Public Square.
9. Watchers ignore all of the
above steps except #1.
This course uses public streets. Please exer-
cise caution at all times and follow all traffic laws.
Again this year, the Urban Forest Foundation (UFF) will be spon-
soring a fun run and walk at the conference. The UFF is a non-profit
affiliate of SMA that raises money to help fund popular programs
such as the Arborist Exchange. The Fun Run, Walk, or Watch is
open to everyone regardless of speed. The event is not timed,
and some entrants never leave sight of the starting line. The
distances are estimates until your watch tells you how far you
went when you finish, but runners will traverse roughly 2.5 miles
(4 km), while walkers will walk about 2/3 of that distance.
Regardless, you have a chance to get some fresh air, see some
downtown and lakefront Cleveland sights, and stretch your legs.
Every entrant also receives a highly collectible custom t-shirt.
And best of all, your contribution helps fund worthy programs to
strengthen our profession and support our colleagues. The event
will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2019. Click on
