76% of NBA GMs
predict Bucks will play
for championship
What a difference a year made for the Milwaukee Bucks!
Before last season started, 90% of National Basketball
Association general managers ranked Boston the best
team in the NBA's Eastern Conference, followed by
Toronto, Philadelphia and Milwaukee. The Bucks then
streaked through the regular season, before losing in the
Eastern Conference final to Toronto, which beat Golden
State to win the NBA title.
This year, 76% of the general managers surveyed rank
the Bucks as the favorite to win the Eastern Conference
and 46% believe they will lose to the LA Clippers, now led
by Kawhi Leonard, who starred for Toronto last season.
When it comes to team personnel, 52% of the GMs
believe Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo should
repeat as league MVP. Giannis was rated the best power
forward in the NBA by 59% in the survey, and called the
most versatile player in the league by 46%
Clearly, the Bucks and their superstar, called the
Greek Freak, are now among professional basketball's
elite teams.
