Rubber Insulating High Voltage Glove Kits
Use Cementex
®
certified rubber-insulating safety gloves in potentially danger-
ous electrical work environments. Recommended for Class 0 low voltage up to
1000 V max. and marked with ANSI/ASTM number, type, class and size. Speci-
fications are 5000 max test ac V, 20,000 max test dc V, 1000 max use ac V and
1500 max use dc V per IEC 903. Each 11.2-ounce kit includes a pair of rubber
gloves and leather protectors in a rugged canvas pouch. Use protectors only with
rubber-insulating gloves. Liners worn under gloves available separately.
Insulating Dielectric
Rubber Blankets
Blankets measure 3' x 3' and are
available separately or in kits. The yellow
BL-C0 is a Class 0 (Type II) low-voltage insulating
blanket that weighs 2.2 pounds. The BLK-C0 kit includes the blanket and two
clamp pins in a yellow plastic storage canister and weighs 7.6 pounds. The black
BL-C2 is a Class 2 (Type I) high-voltage insulating blanket with six eyelets and
weighs 7.1 pounds. The BLK-C2 kit includes the blanket and two clamp pins in a
yellow plastic storage canister and weighs 12.2 pounds. The 4.9-pound canister
measures 8" x 8" x 37.5".
Use the BL-CLP camp pin set to secure blanket to work surface. Also clamp
blanket sides together when wrapped around transmission lines to prevent falling
or blowing off workspace which could cause electrocution. Insulating blankets are
dielectrically tested at the time of sale. In accordance with OSHA standards, they
must be retested every 12 months. This service is available from Cementex.

Insulating
Shielding
Material
Electrical insulating
material is designed to
protect personnel, equipment and work
areas from electrical hazards. ASTM D178-
88 Type 2 rolls are flame, oil, ozone and
puncture resistant. Factory-tested rubber is
flexible to -60ºF and won't melt. Use ESY-1
Class O (type 2) material for 1000 V ac max
and ESO-7.5 Class 1 (type 2) for 7500 V ac
max. PVC material is 0.04" thick and is Class
1 (type 2) rated.
Kits include shielding material, a pair of clamps
and a carry/storage bag. Choose from 25-pound
ESY-1, 36.4-pound ESO-7.5 and 23-pound PVC7.5
rolls. The 4.9-pound carrying/storage bag has Velcro
®
closure strips and handles.

Arc Flash Accessories
The AFS-180 face shield and hard hat is
PPE Level 2 12+ cal arc rated. Face shield
features a scratch resistant outer coating,
anti-fog coating, and gray tint for undistorted
clear vision of true colors. The Cat Level 2
rate balaclava is made from flame resistant
single layer cotton knit. Protect and store
the AFS-180 face shield and hard hat in the
nylon drawstring storage bag or canister.

PROPER SIZING FOR INSULATING RUBBER GLOVES
Measure the circumference of the palm,
as shown, and add 1" to the measurement
to determine the glove size needed.
For example, a measurement of 9"
plus the 1" would be 10" and would
require a size 10 glove.
