PHOTOGRAPHY BY ROBERT MCKEEVER 2 A select group of ski gondolas are getting special attention this season. The "Mountain Climbers: Revisiting a Swiss Icon" project invited 40 artists, architects and designers to transform 40 gondolas to be auctioned by Christie's in 2015. The proceeds of the sale will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Switzerland. Look for some of the transformed gondolas at Design Miami/Basel. mountainclimbers.ch 3 It's been five years since CECILY BROWN has had a solo show in New York. Her self-titled show at Gagosian's Madison Avenue gallery is a collection of new paintings, most of which are populated by female nudes. The fleshy canvases, some monumental in scale, play out Brown's persistent fascination with the tension between bold painterly gesture and figurative content. It opens June 8 with an exhibition by Xavier Veilhan. ora-ito.com CULTURED 37
