Sixteen deserving high school students throughout the United States have been recognized as recipients of the Goulds Water Technology 2020 Goulds Pro- fessional Dealer Association (GPDA) scholarship, awarding a total of $24,000 in scholarships to help students obtain higher education. The scholarship is a re- source for GPDA members and highlights the company's support and commitment to independent dealers. Each recipient, selected based on academic standing, vol- unteerism, and leadership skills, receives a $1500 scholarship. Dakota Supply Group has awarded $18,020 scholarships to 17 individuals who are furthering their education in the trade industries. This year's recipients each received a $1000 scholarship, and Brady Fried from Bismarck, North Da- kota, was awarded a $2020 scholarship. The Hydraulic Institute announced the launch of its Pump Savings Calculator to assist specifiers and end users in deter- mining the most energy- and cost-efficient pump systems for their applications. Grundfos and its primary owner, the Grundfos Foundation, announced on October 26 a $65,000 donation to the American Red Cross of Central California– Central Valley Chapter in response to the recent wildfires that continue to have a devastating impact on communities in Central California. As part of the local rebuilding efforts, Grundfos is creating a program that will provide a discount for a selection of its pump products to those who have lost water service due to the wildfires. Despite a global pandemic and sig- nificant challenges, Grundfos and World Vision are celebrating the achievement of their ambitious milestone—more than 2.4 million people who now have access to water in sub-Saharan Africa.
