The Northern Ohio Chapter of the American Fence Association will host a sporting clay shoot on June 12 at 1 p.m. at Hill 'n Dale Club in Medina, Ohio. A steak dinner will follow at approximately 4:30 p.m. Hill 'n Dale is a private club that has opened its doors to chapter members to enjoy a day of shooting and camaraderie, the Northern Ohio chapter reports. The club has held these events many times in the past, and you will find that any equipment you may need or want is available there, the chapter said. The sporting clay event will be open to AFA members and nonmembers. The cost for the event is $45 per person which includes dinner. If you are unable to pull yourself away for the afternoon, you may attend the steak dinner which will follow the event for just $25 per person. There will be no alcohol consumption prior to the event; however, alcohol is welcome at dinner. Hill 'n Dale does not have a liquor license, so this is a BYOB event. Soft drinks and water will be provided with dinner. The chapter said it is expecting 40 to 50 shooters. Although time may be running short by the time this is published, the chapter also is seeking sponsors to help defray the cost of the event. Companies currently signed on as sponsors include Stateside Steel and Wire, Biewer's Lumber, Ultra Aluminum, Richard's Fence, Ameristar Fence Products, Merchants Metals, and Specrail.
