About the cover: Downey Drilling Inc.'s municipal/industrial
department, which is based out of its headquarters in Lexington,
Nebraska, repairs a water lube lineshaft turbine in southwest Kansas.
Downey Drilling rebuilt the bowl assembly and straightened the
stainless steel lineshafts in the 16-inch, 500-foot steel-cased
industrial well. Its continuous wire-wrapped screen is set within
the water-producing zone of the Ogallala Aquifer. The pump is
set at 480 feet and consists of a bowl assembly that produces
800 gallons per minute. The pump rig is a Hunke Mfg. R-15.
