Art & Chalk Fest
RETURNS TO MOWA
Free fun for the whole family, Aug. 21-22
Three-dimensional
masterpieces,
activities for all ages,
live music, food,
beer, free museum
admission and more.
The Museum of Wisconsin
Art (MOWA) transforms its
parking lot into a concrete
canvas for Art & Chalk Fest,
held Saturday, Aug. 21,
10am–9pm, and Sunday,
Aug. 22, 10am-4pm. The
museum is located in
downtown West Bend.
For the fourth year, chalk
artists will create stunning
masterpieces. Many are
interactive and offer a three-
dimensional illusion.
This year, visitors can
experience more live arts
than ever. Demonstrations
include a variety of art
mediums – pottery
throwing, glass blowing,
plein air painting, henna
tattoo and more.
An expanded musical
lineup includes two free
Saturday evening concerts
in the MOWA Gardens with
Milwaukee's Dead Horses
and Appleton's Cory Chisel.
Art activities for all
ages, food trucks, beer
garden, and free museum
admission round out the
weekend's family-friendly
event. Get more details at
artchalkfest.com.
