It's an open hole bedrock well and approxi- mately 7 feet to limestone producing water from the Roubidoux sandstone. McCarthy Drilling's summertime schedule began at 5:30 a.m. and ended at 6 p.m. or later. As of mid-July, the com- pany was running three crews operating REICHdrill rigs with a backlog of 150-160 wells. McCarthy Drilling, serving southwest Missouri and based in Halfway, Missouri, usually covers a 100-mile radius but recently expanded in some areas to roughly 200 miles.
