play with your food Whatever you do, don't take yourself too seriously. That's Nick Sierzant's motto, a philosophy that's carried over to his new restaurant, Blair Street Brew & BBQ. "We really want [people to] have fun, get fed and maybe tell a joke or two," says Sierzant of the barbecue joint he opened in May. In fact, everything from silly menu names—like "Badger Feast" (pictured) and "A Dang Quesadilla" (a "Napoleon Dynamite" reference)—to special game nights and the "Oink Mobile" delivery car is meant to bring a smile to your face. Not that Blair Street needs gimmicks to attract customers—its signature sweet and tangy sauce does that all by itself. The slow-cooked, fall-off-the-bone pork, beef and chicken offerings are rendered even more delectable when paired with picnic-style potato salad, coleslaw and a craft beer. And with plans to open its own microbrewery this fall, Blair Street sure knows how to grill the perfect summer feast. – Cathy Martin Blair Street Brew & BBQ is located at 605 E.
