Welcome to Groundwater Week 2022 Attendees will have several options to learn and improve their skills as a groundwater professional, network and make contacts from around the country, and have fun. The following are just some of the opportunities in which you can do that. Volunteer Reception Monday, December 5 5–6 p.m. Volunteer for the National Ground Water Association? If so, meet with other volunteers from around the country at the Westgate Resort & Casino in Ballroom E/F to discuss what projects you worked on throughout the year, to network, and prepare to kick off Groundwater Week 2022. Breakfast and Coffee with the Master Groundwater Contractors Tuesday, December 6 7–8 a.m. Enjoy free coffee and pastries while networking with the cream of the crop of the groundwater industry. Master Groundwater Contractors will be on hand to discuss the NGWA Voluntary Certification Program, what it takes to become a MGWC, how certification has benefitted their career, and any other questions you may have. NGWA Welcome Party Tuesday, December 6 5:30–7 p.m. Meet up with old friends and make new ones at this annual crowd-pleaser that takes place at the Grand Ballroom in the Westgate Resort & Casino. It's a great way to unwind after a full day of educational offerings. Early/New Career Coffee and Breakfast Wednesday, December 7 7–8 a.m. Students and young professionals are invited to gather for coffee and breakfast and share their experiences on getting started in the groundwater industry with new friends and acquaintances. Long- time NGWA members will also be on hand to answer any questions on how young people can grow professionally and get ahead in their chosen field. Young people are also encouraged to attend Breakfast and Coffee with the Master Groundwater Contractors at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6, where you can network and learn about the industry from some of the top people in their field.
