In 2019, the town was lifted out of poverty. In 2021, China Tobacco (Chongqing) Commercial Corporation led the city's eighteenth team to guide and support local people in Sanyi town to develop "tobacco+N" industry. In order to improve the income level of Sanyi tobacco farmers under the existing conditions, through research and demonstration, China Tobacco (Chongqing) decided to improve the replanting index of grain and tobacco on tobacco fields. In 2022, Sanyi town promoted 500 mu of "tobacco-purple potato" and "tobacco-soybean" compound planting, and the comprehensive output value is expected to reach more than RMB3 million. In addition to that, the team also supported the construction of organic vegetable demon- stration bases and agricultural specialties direct picking bases in villages, and cultivated more than 600 farmers to develop "five small" courtyard econo- mies like small fruit gardens, small flower gardens, small melon and vegetable gardens, small aquatic gardens, and small breeding gardens, aiming to increase the income of the masses. They not only attract the guests, but also sell the products. In the Sanyi town e-commerce operation center, delicately packaged Longyang rice, morel, dried bamboo, taro chips, chips, etc. are neatly displayed, the workers are busy packing them to send to the express stations. All the items produced by the vil- lagers can be turned into money! The above are just to name but a few examples. The co-existence of tobacco leaf and other industries has taken root in the vast countryside. The industrial complex in the tobacco-growing regions has painted a new blue- print with innovative development for tobacco farmers. China's tobacco farmers also package and sell the additional crops they grow, creating another source of income.
