After our round, we headed to FORC
Restaurant (Farmer, Ocean, Rancher,
Cook), located in Waimea Town, Kamuela-
--Chef Allen Hess's newest restaurant
featuring food items from local ranches
and farms and local fresh caught fish.
With a nod to Hawaiian regional flavors,
award-winning Chef Allen Hess has
expanded on local land and sea offerings
and developed a menu both distinctive
and creative in his newest restaurant. Lizz,
our server at breakfast, told us about his
restaurant and said we absolutely had
to dine there before we left the island to
go home. She was right! The food was
unbelievable, and we had terrific drinks
during Happy Hour from 3-5pm. She also
happened to be our server the evening
that we dined there. Local ranch beef
dishes, fresh-catch seafood, goat tacos,
various salads, and seasonal vegetable
Modern improvements to the
Mauna Kea Golf Course by
the original designer's son,
Rees Jones, have kept the
original character intact while
opening up challenging,
memorable play on the island
of Hawaii to all player levels.
