With the Korn Ferry Tour announcing
plans to award an unprecedented 30
PGA TOUR cards at the end of the year,
the NV5 Invitational presented by Old
National Bank's new dates will place the
championship in the middle of a critical
closing stretch. Only six events will be
held between the NV5 Invitational and
the Korn Ferry Tour Championship, which
means the traditionally strong field will be
even more competitive as players fight for
position and a coveted promotion to the
PGA TOUR.
Recent history suggests that some of the
players walking The Glen Club fairways
this July will be making headlines on the
PGA TOUR soon.
Scottie Scheffler, the 2022 Masters
champion, won the inaugural NV5
Invitational presented by Old National
Bank in 2019. Cameron Young, the
2021 winner, also used his victory as a
springboard to PGA TOUR stardom. And
just one year after outlasting Northbrook,
Illinois, native Nick Hardy in a playoff,
2022 champion Harry Hall is playing on
the PGA TOUR.
"After a dramatic finish in 2022, we're
excited about what the future holds for this
championship," said Dickerson Wright,
PE, Chairman and CEO of NV5. "We're
proud to provide a stage for these talented
players to pursue their dreams while
helping the Evans Scholars Foundation
make a difference in the lives of young
men and women across the country."
All proceeds from the championship
benefit the Evans Scholars Foundation
and its mission to award full tuition and
housing college scholarships to high-
achieving youth caddies with limited
financial means.
