Vision:
Empowering all professionals who cultivate
community trees and forests
In early 2023, the SMA Board of Directors and organizational staff developed the above
strategic plan intended to guide the organization over the next several years. Each goal and its
subsequent operational steps are in service of SMA members and, ultimately, designed to help
elevate the work we do each day to grow and sustain more trees for livable communities.
Interested in helping the organization meet these goals? Please consider joining a committee or
the SMA Board of Directors! Reach out to SMA Executive Director Leslie Berckes to discuss more.
